Background

I'm Christian, a full-stack platform engineer based in the Philippines. My strongest work sits across the whole delivery path: product surfaces, mobile apps, APIs, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and the release systems that keep teams moving.

I have led backend architecture for education platforms, modernized React Native and Expo apps through major SDK upgrades, supported Shopify and Tapcart transitions, and decomposed monoliths into AWS serverless services with Terraform, queues, retries, idempotency, and observability.

That range matters because product problems rarely stay in one layer. A slow checkout, broken mobile flow, fragile API, missing metric, or risky release all need someone who can trace the system end to end and make the smallest safe change.

Right now I'm focused on full-stack AI-assisted platforms: clean service boundaries, practical web and mobile workflows, secure identity, production AI evaluation, and engineering habits that make teams faster without making systems brittle.

Full-stack impact

Product-facing full stack

I work across React, React Native, Expo, APIs, and product workflows so user-facing changes stay connected to real backend constraints.

Backend and cloud architecture

I design service boundaries, data models, queues, auth, and cloud infrastructure for systems that need to scale without becoming opaque.

Modernization without drama

I have handled SDK upgrades, platform migrations, and monolith decomposition with staged changes, tests, rollback paths, and visible progress.

AI-assisted delivery

I use AI where it helps engineering teams: QA generation, triage, feasibility planning, retrieval workflows, evaluations, and safer automation.

How I work
  • 1Start from the product workflow, then choose the right boundary across UI, API, data, and infrastructure.
  • 2Prefer small, reversible migrations over big-bang rewrites when users and teams are already depending on the system.
  • 3Make releases observable: logs, traces, Sentry, metrics, tests, and CI/CD checks should explain what changed.
  • 4Use AI as a delivery multiplier, not a black box: keep reviews, evaluations, and human ownership in the loop.
